Technical Description | Slender and reaching up to 1.2 metres in length, this fish has a long pointed snout and exquisite meat. The back is grey with a brown or bluish touch. The sides are clear silver which turns to white on the belly. |
Fishing ground | It is found at depths of between 100 and 1000 m. and does not often reach the coast. It feeds on smaller fish, sometimes of the same species, and squid. |
