PORT OF O VICEDO | |
Description | At O Vicedo there is a combination of shoreline, ranging from rugged cliffs to beaches with fine sands or from open sea to small coves. Just inland there is a mountainous area with wealth of wildlife and scenery. The distant town’s harbour and Fomento beach make up the seafront. The place-name O Vicedo comes from the Latin word “vicia” which can be translated to mean a place where there is an abundance of “vicia”, a herb that grows every year along the coastline |
