Technical Description | Long oval body. Jaws that are equal in length. The back is olive green and the sides silver. The belly is clearer and there is a series of lined markings. |
Fishing ground | Found along the entire Spanish coast, usually in summer, when they congregate and have a higher fat level. |
Fishing techniques | Seine nets or fixed nets (the latter allows the fish to degrease at sea, and is known as the “arte do xeito”.) |
